Help Please! 21st Birthday Ideas... NY?

Morning,

On the 18th of Jan it's my boyfriends 21st Birthday and I really want to do something special we've been together for a long time so am thinking of New York, some where we would both love to go.

I have a budget of about £1000 to spend and am looking at going late January or Feb over a weekend as his holiday is rubbish.

So from Travelzoo I found flights leaving on the 28th of Jan and coming back on the 31/13/11, with iceland Express for £300 pp... havent heard of Iceland express and not sure what the price is like?

And then I need a hotel... somewhere nice if my budget will stretch to it!

Any help will be much appreciated as I would like to book soon

TIA:)

In some nightlife places you may need to be 21 to get in, so make sure you are both old enough to get in when you want to go, a driving licence photo card is a convenient form of ID.

Iceland Express flights are via Iceland and take longer than non stop flights, they have small planes like ryanair/easyJet and you have to buy food and drink on board. http://www.icelandexpress.com/flight_info/Help_centre/Questions_and_answers/

You might find a non stop flight including food and drink for not much more than Iceland Express.

  • I wont be 21 but were not big drinkers anyway so that wont worry us.

We would want to fly from Heathrow or Gatwick as were in the South, I'd rather pay extra n fly direct, maybe Virgin or someone?

    Thanks
  • Have found a package with Virgin flying out on the 28/01/11 from Heathrow, staying for 3 nights and staying at Westin New York at Times Square for
    £1378.95

Any good? Hotel has good reviews

You will struggle to get flights only with virgin atlantic within your price so I think the best thing would be to look at a short package...a flight only on your departure day is almost the cost of the package you have found

And take your thermals. It can be freezing in NY in January or February.

They wouldn't let you in to drink cola.
