Its not advised for babies to face out wards as they can get over stimulated. The only carries that allow for facing out are more mainstream carriers like Baby Bjorn which among baby wearing comminties arent advised because of the poor support for babies hips , they are refered to a lot as Crotch Dangers because thats what they are.

Babies could be facing their parents with a free air way and all snuggled up nice and warm :D

Id add links but it wont let me.

  • In this cold weather I have been carrying my 6 month old daughter in a sling - a woven wrap. I put her in layers with a hat on and make sure her legs are well covered. I then wear her under my coat. With my body heat she is lovely and warm and because she is so close to me I can keep a check on her and her temperture at all times and add or remove layers as required. I have found keeping her warm in the buggy much more difficult.

I have only taken her out when totally necessary & if the dad did just take the baby to the cm for a day off it seems a bit unneccessary but Im not sure we know the full story so I'm not going to judge.

My childs preschool have been closed this week due to frozen pipes. I am waiting to see what they say about refunds. It's a charity/commitee run one so I'm not sure they can afford to refund us really but I bet they will anyway. I will wait & see what they say.

  • If this dad walked 90 minutes to get to the childminder, he would have had to walk another 90 minutes to get home, 90 minutes to go back to collect the baby and then 90 minutes back home again. Are we expected to believe that this Dad walked for 6 hours so he could have a day off without his baby?

Update- pre-school was open today and I was given a refund as soon as we arrived :) I didn't even have to mention it.
