Portaventura Or Disneyparis?

Hi

We have been to Disney before and are thinking of either go back next year for about 3 or 4 days (we love it) or going to PortAventura end of August for a week.

Which do you think is better?

Port aventura is great, I would recomend it, esp if your kids are 6 or older. Its not as big as disneyland, but there is still plenty to do over 2-3 days and have loads of shows. Plus Salou is brilliant, I go there all the time, love it as do the kids.

My kids will be 13 and 6 when we go.

Is Portaventura very busy? Just don't fancy queueing for rides forever in the heat. Would be going on 28th August.

Its not mad busy. We went at the very begining of september, and didnt have to queue more than 5 minutes for rides. The only problem is, Spanish kids are on school holidays for 16 weeks, and they dont go back till the end of september, so there is a chance it could be busier.

Just make sure you prebook your tickets because the queue is massive to get them there. Plus with Salou, you have 2 great water parks, the beach and a good nightlife that the kids can enjoy.

Portaventura is excellent particularly for the age of your children(and yourselves)- Salou will be hot but the park stays open until midnight with a firework display. the park is walking distance from salou so you have endless choice of accomodation and make sure you buy your tickets in uk as often three day price is same or cheaper than in spain and includes option of going to the water park.

I agree Portaventura is excellent. Do you home work on the tickets though as when we were there you could buy a 7 days ticket for the price of 3 (something like that, plus it included at day at Costa Caribe Water Park.) With the park being open until midnight you can come and go as you please and not feel like you have to spend the whole day there.
