Help with our own inventory checks

Hi all,
I was just needing a little advice in how to do my own “Inventory” check on a new rental property we are hoping to take on this coming Friday (10th).
The property is of good condition however there is also a few wear & tears makes that my partner & I don’t want to be liable for at the end of or tenancy agreement.
Our estate agent showed us yesterday, He told us we will need to complete our own & take our own photos & match it with the LA’s on the day.
(A new policy they have**)
Just to add: The property is a one bedroom house with a outdoor shed space attached to the property. Its unfurnished but the LL will leave all white goods other then a tumble drier & freezer!
I know I must sound crazy asking such a simple question, But really I have no idea where to start?

Many thanks,

Just use the inventory which the agent supplies on the day and add any comments on it which don't reflect reality and initial them. Also take dated photos of any signs of wear-and-tear, marks on walls, chips in paintwork etcetera and keep them safe somewhere. Then sign the inventory, make a photocopy and return the original to the agent.0
