Just ran Malwarebytes and i've two infections:eek:
I am about to press "Remove selected" but is there a way of finding out where they came from? Or when I was infected? My PC is working the same as usual and I only checked after someone I email mentioned scanning my PC as I "find" songs online:o
They are called- Trojan.Agent and trojan.pricegong

There is a site called pricegong (dot) com and you may have got both from there? PCthreat (dot) com say it is adware and should be removed " One of the worst aspects with regard to PriceGong is the factor that it may not come in isolation and may actually come with many other parasites. "

Saving the log file will not affect the removal. Mine always shows a box saying it has saved the log when it finishes scanning0

when mbam saves a logfile, it kinda buries it within the mbam program folder. If you need easy access to the log (like needing to post it up on here, for instance), then when it pops up after scanning, just Save As and put it somewhere handy (like your desktop, for instance)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Please open malwarebytes, goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the last log:idea:0

This is all I could find? I emailed it to someone and they said I probably acquired it on a price comparison site , not sure how though as I use MSE/hotdeals etc
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.42
Database version: 3300
Windows 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2
Your malwarebytes is WAY out of date
Uninstall it and follow these instructions for installing the latest version etc -
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. Keep checking for updates until it says its up to date. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin):idea:0 -
Not at the moment. Just run a fresh hijack log after running malwarebytes again:idea:0

Restart computer and try again?:idea:0
