Just to let everyone know, I have a Happauge WinTV which connects to the aerial outlet and USB on your computer. it records straight onto the hard drive thus making your 400gb computer a great storage space.

make sure you know that a 3 hour film is nearly 7gb. Meaning roughly youll be getting 30 hours from this 80gb STORAGE DRIVE.

    the happauge costs me £35
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

This box, no doubt will use a different compression system. Therefore archiving a higher compression rate. Allowing more data to be stored.

Good going :T , that would make 34.5 hours from 80GB and the site says 40 hours, that aint a bad guess.

And to add to that, I have my TV as another monitor so I can run recorded programmes from PC to TV (OK the wiring is a mess and a nightmare but hey ho)

and the fact that your pc costs a lot more than this box by itself.... and the fact you need to leave it on to record....... My pc is 5 years so am sure it cannot cope with the spec required for the tv card....

The ferguson is the better box but the actual manufacturer Access Devices recently went into administration. :(

I'm considering going for the one in Argos. Its a Fusion FVRT95 80Gb with single tuner at £79.99 (and I have a £10 voucher). Any views on it?
