  • I'd like some of that average wage, where I live the average wage for a full-time female is about £16k (they would have us believe, but there are actually no jobs).

    PN, sorry to appear rude and harsh, but you are becoming a bit of a broken record on that note.

    Why don't you move to an area where there are more jobs and higher wages if that's your concern.

    I know there have been links shown to you before to clarify how you can scour job postings throughout the country.

    Something like 20 companies with market value > £1bn pay dividends of more than 5%. There is of course no tax payable on dividends for standard rate tax payers.

    Or higher rate taxpayers holding shares in an ISA.
