Recommend me a clear wood stain

I've got some new oak veneered internal doors that are unfinished.

I want to stain them rather than varnish, but I just want to enhance the grain not darken it.

Most stains seem to add colour. Can anyone recommend some clear wood protection that's not a varnish??

Many manufacturers will not uphold the guarantee if the door has been treated with anything other than the products they specify. I normally use Osmo oil on all my interior wood but was told the guarantee would be voided if I used this on my doors (Howdens Dordogne), it has to do with the chance of the glues used in manufacture reacting with the oils and the doors may delaminate. I used Sikkens Cetol TSI Plus which is a clear woodstain and complies with the door manufacturer's policy. Just as well since one of my doors has split and I will be looking to them to replace it under guarantee.

I do know many people use Osmo and other similar coatings with great success but I was concerned about the guarantee issue.

Looks like the OSMO one will have to be online as when I put in postcodes around me there are no stockists!

They do a door oil in clear satin which looks like it might be the ticket? Seems to be about £20 to £25.

Can anyone recommend an online supplier?
