What's covered when snow causes flight cancellation?

Some friends and I are flying to Glasgow from N.I. on Fri with Ryanair. We've booked accommodation separate to our flights. If the flight is cancelled would we be compensated for the accommodation?

Our insurance excess is more than the accommodation costs so that's no good.

Ryanair would not be liable for your accom in Glasgow. They are obliged to provide care until they are able to get you on a flight, but assuming that you live relatively close to the airport, you would be expected to go home rather than book a hotel.
    Gone ... or have I?
