Hot Water Tap dropping pressure

Had some boiler problems (boiler is a combi) last week and the engineer came out and identified the problem of a blockled Condensate drain. This was cleared and now the central heating is fine. However, as soon as the hot tap in the bathroom is turned on the pressure drops very quickly and within 30 seconds there is barely a trickle coming out of the tap. Before the engineer visited there was no issue with the tap.

From reading around on the internet it would seem that there could be some type of blockage in the pipe (all other taps in the house seem to be fine). It would seem that this can be fixed by turning on the guilty hot tap and holding my finger over the tap and then the water will go back up the pipe and hopefully clear it

Any thoughts and feedback would be welcome before I attempt something that will get me soaked?
