I know this has been covered but........

I could do with some encouragement!!!

I parked at Mcdonalds Heathrow and overstayed by 30 mins (i didnt see the Parking Restrictions notice till i was leaving) It was monsoon rain and having just come in from a long flight, was pretty tired!!!

Roll on several months and i have had at least 3 or 4 letters from MET, the fine trebbled but today received a letter from "debt recovery plus ltd" threatening the bailiffs and a ccj etc etc.

Do i still ignore them.....?

Many thanks guys, have never ever had any fine before or penalty points and am a well behaved motorist!!!! :-)

Yes indeedy, to ultimately carry out the threat of bailiffs and a ccj they need to take you to court and win first, since they will not do that you have nothing to fear.
  • Is it not wonderful that our wonderful and ethical PPC friends can utter unlawful threats but we cannot call them names that could injure their tender feelings?
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

    Ah thanks guys!!! xxxx
  • You have been given good advice. Private parking tickets have NO legal validity. Expect lots of threatening letters, if you get worried by them, post again for reassurance. Oh, and please tell your friends about this errr... business.
