Do thermal curtain linings work?

My computer desk faces a double-glazed window (unavoidable) which I get draughts from. It does appear to be sealed correctly.
I just have one huge, lined curtain across it which reaches to the floor but still feel the draught. It is on a curtain pole so there are gaps unfortunately.

The lining is very thin and I am considering buying a thermal lining instead. Do these actually work (I have seen one for about £17 on Amazon so need to be sure before I buy.

Thanks

They're fabulous, we've got them here in this room and they do work.
I got ours from Dunelm Mills.
Just don't get cheapo ones else it might be a false economy.

Thanks barneysmom, the Dunelm ones are a similar price to the ones I saw on Amazon, so I'll probably go with those, now I know that they do work.

To-day I put up a pair of heavy lined curtains over existing light ones using shower curtain rings, the kind that open and close, just click on to wooden pole over curtain rail. Job done in 10mins. bought the curtains in a charity shop for £3..
