I'm in the process of renewing my house + contents insurance. I've been given a quote with Axa by a local broker.
Just reading through all the bumph I'm unsure about my collection of toys.
In the past I was told that it wasn't necessary to declare this but reading on here I get the feeling that this may no longer be the case.
Firstly, would these come under 'unspecified personal possessions', 'valuables' or be covered under the normal contents policy?
No single item is above £500 but I wouldn't know the total cost of everything as they are difficult to price up.
Thanks

So if the colletion is stolen or burns up, how much would you claim for if you don't know the values?42 years of experience in the insurance industry.
And nothing the industry tries do to us surprises me any more!0 -
Quick update: I contacted the broker who confirmed that these items will be covered under the normal contents policy as no single item is above £1,000 (and my contents cover is £75,000 which is ample)0
