American Express bonus points

Just a warning if you are thinking of taking the Amercian Express Card with the offer of bonus points if you spend £500+ for the first 3 months.
This is not based on the first 3 months statements but starts from the day you join.
Have just been caught out on this one.:mad:

Exactly the same thing happened to me, I was told that the 'one month date' was one month after the card account was created, rather than one month after I received the card!! This left me with only 2 weeks, rather than a month to get my £500 in.

I rung up AMEX and kicked up a big stink, and they credited my account with the bonus points.

Give it a go!

how can you tell the date you joined.. as mine took ages to accept me and i only knew when i got my card. Might ring them up to confirm etc.
