We have a kitten, she has toys scratch post gets mothered dearly by my daughters.
She is good as gold bit naughty typical kitten knocking things over attacking things.
But past couple of nights she keeps attempting to come in my room at about 3am, i have twins who are 6months which i havent got round to shifting them into there own room so i cant let her in. she bangs scratches at the door for ages doesnt seem to give in until i go out there.
Any tips for getting round this??
I thought out of four children and a kitten, the children would wake me in the night.

Get another kitten to keep her company?

Hi there,
We put our two cats into our utility at night and we let them out in the morning. It saves them being naughty in and around the house and they did also start to scratch our bedroom door but we don't hear a peep out of them during the night.
If you don't have a utility could you leave the kitten in another bedroom or kitchen with it's scratch post and a few toys?
It has helped us a lot and they seem happy and content. Most of the time we go in to let them out and they are fast asleep in a bed!

Get some 'scratch no more' from Kleeneze and spray it at your door.
It stopped our adult cat in her tracks,
Its expensive at a tenner but if it means saving you buying a new carpet its money well spent, specially as she is a kitten, you will be presumably be using it elsewhere lolmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Grit your teeth and don't open the door! If you do, you're just rewarding the behaviour.
Our two did this for a long time... now they only do it if they are getting low on food (not if they have emptied their bowls, nooooo
) My TV is broken!

Another kitten isnt an option really, we already have a grown up cat and they play nicely during the day. But the older cat likes to disappear of a night outside.
Im going to try shut her in the kitchen tonight, i relocated her toys and filled all her bowls up see how it goes. =[mum to; Two Boys (Non id twins)Two Girls (Id twins)0 -

My kitten gets shut in the kitchen at night. My two olders cats have the run of the house (apart from the kitchen!) and often there's one or the other on my bed.0
