Sage Pay Problems

Does anyone else use Sage Pay for card processing? There have been a string of problems since they took over Protx. Last night their system was down for four hours, so online sales were lost during that time.

I am extremely tempted to move to Cardstream, World Pay or one of the other companies, but don't want to go to someone equally bad.

Does anyone know of alternative companies or percentages of their reliability to help me choose.

There is a new long thread about the latest Sagepay problems on UKBusinessforums site which you might find useful/interesting.
(If my link doesn't work it's currently on the first page of the General Business Forum).
  • Hi, we've used SagePay for years now. However, we the recent problems we have moved all our existing and new clients to Cardstream. We have been working closely with them for a few months now and haven't found a fault in the service. Their tariff is very competitive and the service has been very reliable indeed. I believe all their integration guides and example script can be found at cardstream.com

    I hope this helps!
  • I have just received this email from Sage Pay - they know they have problems but won't sort them out:

I am writing to confirm that we have scoped the fix to this problem and this requires a change to our gateway. However we are in system code freeze until February 2012 which means we will not implement the fix until this date.

I apologise that we cannot get this implemented any sooner as I appreciate how frustrating it is for you, the fault is now logged in our roadmap and will be addressed as soon as we are able.

Presumably their "roadmap" includes people leaving them because them are so rubbish

For me it is working OK at the moment - what problems did you raise with them?
