Can someone give me advice as to whether i can fit window locks on my windows? the windows aren't brand new..seem fairly conventional; was just wondering whether I could fit window locks on them myself, and if so what type should i get?
thanks

We had locks on our double glazed windows, but problem was that we couldn't lock the windows partly open - had to be locked closed.
We found locks in https://www.jackloc.co.uk and have fitted these ourselves (follow instructions carefully) were reasonably priced and are terrific to use. Can now go out without wondering if we have closed the windows and, during summer could leave windows partly open (but securely locked) during night.0 -

Re Jackloc, we fitted these on to PVC (?) double glazed windows. Instructions made clear that you had to drill holes as close to edge as possible to ensure you were not going to drill through the glass itself. Didn't have any problems.0 -

Note; They are a good comparsion site for screwfix for many products. They are also normally a few pence cheaper on most things.
Really easy to fit also. It is worth noting that if your windows are still under their original gaurantee this will probabaly be voided if you drill into them. I am guessing they are not, but if they are still under gaurantee could you not ask to have the company repair the current locks?
