Hello,
Does anyone have any phone numbers to chase up the SSMG?
I'm fed up of searching on Google most of the searches bring up posts on forums from '08 and '09. The only number I have is 0845 560 88641.
It seems to be permanently engaged.

No number for you but this is the address:
Wembley BDC
PO BOX 110
London
SW95 9EA.
Wembley BDC is a processing site. It doesn't have a contact number for customers. You would need to phone the Social Fund contact centre for the area you live in. They will look on system and see if there is any information for you, and if not they can arrange for someone at Wembley to ring you back.
The number will begin 0845 608. The rest depends on where you are in the country - your local jobcentre should be able to give you the number for the social fund contact centre0 -
I have been waiting three weeks but am not sure how long it should take so havn't called yet.Think I will give it until Friday.0

Thanks all
I found the number and telephoned them today. It isn't on the system yet OR the Jobcentre I sent it to haven't sent it to them. It's two weeks today and I can't get hold of the Job centre I sent it to. It's yet ANOTHER 0845 and they are busy and I get hung up on which is UBER annoying. I'm livid at the moment...34 weeks and counting I don't want to be 38 weeks waddling around trying to buy a pram!
I'm really grateful for the money and we really do need it but trying to get hold of anyone is damn near impossible. I sent it recorded but the bloke at the social fund said I should have sent it direct. Not true as it says either send via Job centre or send it direct. It shouldn't matter in my eyes. I've ordered a new one, I suppose if it's taking around 3 weeks I'll chase it up again.
What do you reckon, should I send a new one or wait?0 -
The number I have for them is 0845 6088 510 just incase anyone needs a different one. North West, not sure if it makes a difference.
Hate, hate, HATE! ringing these numbers with that bloody womans automated voice especially when after 2 minutes you get hung up on....Really need to sort themselves out!0 -
Don't suppose anyone has a direct number for Stockport Job Centre. Can't stand ringing the 0845 number again been hung up on about 5 times.0

I posted mine direct to Wembley.0

Hmmm... sent my application to job centre. They can't tell me anything.
Apparently they send it to Preston, I rang the switch board for the Wembley number, can't give me that. Apparently all applications through Stockport go to the Chorlton office....I've been passed round more times than I can remember today.
No one seems to know anything. I can't find a tracking number on my post office receipt for a tracking number to find out if it has been signed for. It's so irritating.
Looks like I'm going to have to send off yet another form. Do I send it recorded signed for to the Wembley office? I'll have to wait another week for the form to be filled in as the midwives are only in on Wednesdays. Gonna have the baby by the time I get the money!
I got a call back from someone at Wembley I think. I couldn't understand a word she was saying, she had a really thick Indian accent all I could make out were the words 'courier' and something about application! then to top it all something happened to the line and it cut off. Spent another 20 minutes trying to get through to the social fund. Gave up in the end.0 -
The jobcentre should have sent it to the BDC via courier. If I were in your position, I'd be sending another form direct. I'd much rather have two forms knocking about than none at all. They will deal with whichever form they receive first.0
