Just got back from staying with my mum and did a shop in Morrison's, where fireworks are quite cheap and BOGOF! I really had to convince DH and DD that it's such a waste of money, even though we could get 40 fireworks for £20!DMP starts June 2012, £38,180.
Balance June 2015 £26,046 (paid off 32%)

They have a big firework display here, and the entrance fee is about £5.00 each  Luckily, we practically live next door to the field, so can watch it all from the window for free (and keep nice and warm) for about 10 minutes until we get a bit bored then go back to watching the telly.0

I have always hated fireworks, as a child I was scared of them so I have never bought any even when my children were young. Fortunately I have a friend who likes fireworks who borrowed my children to go to the local organised display every year. I won't be spending anything on fireworks this year so no change there!0

i spend nowt. Don't like fireworks and I live near a racecourse that has a massive display every year and I don't like. The cats are scared and DD doesn't like it either. Infact as I am typing they are going off already0

I wont be spending anything.
I think they are a total waste of money....something I don't have that much of anymore!!!
Personally I think the sale of fireworks to the general public should be banned, people get hurt, the cost to the fire service and the NHS every year becomes ridiculous. Plus the idoits who feel it necessary to let them off anywhere scaring people and animals really gets my back up!!!
I'll get off my soap box now!0 -
I won't be spending anything either. I just wish they were confined to next weekend... we've been having fireworks every night for the last 2 weeks and it's only going to get worse. I quite like the organised displays but never seem to get around to going to one.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
