Help with switching

Hi,

I am currently in the process of switching supplier for gas & elec, from Southern to EDF.

I started the process in Nov, and have now received both the gas & elec supply start dates from EDF, and I have given them my meter readings at those dates.

My question is, do I need to contact Southern to let them know I have changed supplier, I presume that EDF will have already done this?

As yet, I have received no letter or final bill from Southern, and I can't really cancel my DD until I know the switch has all gone through.

What do I need to do next, if anything? Should I just wait and will the companies sort this out between them?

I don't want to be in the position of paying both suppliers if there is an overlap, and then having to claim a refund, if there is one.
