Steam Generator Iron leaking water
TUS
We have a BOSCH TDS2556GB steam generator iron - only a couple of months old. First month or so it worked fine. However, the past month it has started leaking water.
We've tried a couple of different temp/steam settings, thinking we had it set too hot, but it makes no difference.
Any idea what can cause this? Next stop is to call Bosch as it should be under manufacturer warranty. But just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything easy.
- Obviously we check it has the correct level of water in the little tank.
- Turn it on to heat up.
- A couple of minutes later as it starts to get hot it makes a loud sizzling and starts leaking water everywhere.

I normally turn mine on and leave it for the couple of mins to heat up (until it is ready to emit steam). If you leave it for too long (say 10 mins) then the first time / couple of times you pull teh trigger to emit steam then excess water comes out but it comes fine again after that. Are you talking about more than this?0

Mine has a light on it which goes green when it has heated. It normally takes 2-3 mins to heat up and it's just as it's reaching this temp (before the green light comes on) which it starts hissing and literally spitting water everywhere for 5-10 seconds.
It then settles and the green light comes on.
You get a little excess water on the first trigger, but then it steams and works as I'd expect.
It just doesn't seem right that it is leaking that water whilst heating up - pain in the backside having to clean it up everytime. And it def didn't do it before. Can't work out why :-(0 -

Does sound like a slight variation on mine but not a millions miles away.
I don't get any water spitting out whilst waiting for the green light, just as I said if I leave it with the green light on for a while - say turned on and then started to doing something whilst waiting for the 2-3 mins for it to heat up, then do get it spitting then when pull trigger, I just assumed that was normal as that bit of water/steam has been 'super heated'. Water gets sprayed onto clothes about to be ironed but the process of ironing dries them out so doesn;t really bother me.0
