I think that if you intend spending that type of money on a TV you should see it working and look on avforums to see what the general opinion from owners of the set are and any problems encountered.
Screen reflection, image quality with Standard definition material and HD material. Most public TV is still SD so that might be what you will be watching most of the time so the TV would need a very good upscaler.
What TV services do you use? HD Satellite? Freeview? Cable?

A quick search of google showed these, slightly cheaper.

It might be worth looking at the cash back sites too to save a bit more. Such as QuidCo etc.
£686.90 using a voucher code which expires on 13 Dec 2010 plus 6% cashback with quidco gives £645.69

If you do that, go from Quidco and use the voucher code given at the above link.

Top of a google http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-UE46C5800--inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B003DNSJ04/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291716745&sr=8-1
As posted, you should try and see one. Just got a 47 LCD and it's fine with sd -only 4 hd channels on sat, no freeview hd 'til next year.
Google tv model review as well. I really don't like v.reflective screen !!0 -

thanks for the info, the argos offer has expired. i was only thinking of getting it from argos for the 1 years warranty and its only down the road but i noticed the one at crampton & moore gives 3 years warranty for extra £30 including delivery. seems like the best option.0 -
