Morgan Stanley Platinum

Hi

I applied for one of these at the weekend. Heard nothing back yet (apart from the acknowledgment email). How long do they usually take to make a decision?

Cheers

It took four weeks to receive anything back from them. I did not even receieve an email. Absolutely terrible in my opinion - my sister also applied for one about the same time & is still awaiting a response.

That BT fee may be cheap, and the 3.9% a great offer - but they need to get on top of their desicioning timeframe.

Isn't that the M and S &More card and not the Morgan Stanley one?
  • No, &MORE is provided by Marks & Spencer Financial Services Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC. The M&S name is used under licence by HSBC. Have also applied for MS card - told me that it would take between 10 to 14 days to get my decision which will be in the form of the cards through the door or a rejection letter. Nice touch I thought.

I enquired for a friend who does not have a credit card and did not need one until he found he could not hire a car without one.

Phoned Morgan Stanley to get them to send him an application form, told me they would send it to me so that I would get a £15 introduction fee credited to my account and the applicant would also get £15,

Five weeks later no form, phoned up and was told they were so overwelmed with new applications there was a long delay in sending out forms, it eventually came a week later,

    I know that....i work for them! ;)

My original question was about the Morgan Stanley Platinum and the first response was about the Marks & Spencer &More card.

    Hey Phoenix,

The Morgan Stanely lot are offering 3.9% on BT, with a 1% fee (capped at £50). Fixed until July 2010.

where as &more (as you know) is LOB

Oh I should just go to my bed. Sorry Phoenix, it's been one of those days... :rolleyes2 - I've just re-read your post and how I came to think you asked the question I gave the answer for is beyond me...

Lol...i think i was confused as well. I just saw 3.9% and thought of the &more card....i didn't realise Morgan Stanley offered the same rate for BT.
  • I applied for one of these at the weekend at got the letter back today.

I've been rejected despite my credit score being close to perfect - I'm not sure what they are basing their decisions on. Perhaps they didn't like the look of my £7k balance transfer.
