  • Have had long chat with son 700 texts at 10p each over his monthly allowance!! all to one girl OH says he dont text me that much and we are married!!! and DS is not even going out with her

he said he thought he was in to his next months allowance of texts so we sat down and now have it stored in his phone how to check his text/minutes balance and when it starts from each month.

he is now feeling extremely bad about it all, and is awaiting a list of jobs to be done round the house to help pay off his debt. He has even sorted out some games to sell to help with money, wont be much but at least he is thinking about how he can pay us back.

He really is a good lad at heart and usually very sensible for his age (15) and he is doing so well at school I just want him not make the same mistakes we have made by getting in debt and learning how to manage money properly.

My husband and i ( oooh i sound like the queen!) were just talking about this type of weather inthe 70's when hardly anyone had central heating ( showing my age now) we used to put coats on top the bed to keep warm. Can anyone else remember those days or am i just old?!!!

littlesue, those days are now for me! I've got a horrible storage heating system which means it's freezing through the night cos the blower cuts out while it recharges. I've got plenty of blankets though so I can be nice and toasty.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Happy crafter your teaching him the right way and it shows, he's willing to pay for his mistakes buy selling his games ,thats good, not many 15 yr olds would do that. You sound like you have a nice boy, but he's probably like most 15yr olds, driven by hormones and we've all been there!

Same here. :( I really recommend that anyone with a free evening does an evening's volunteering at their local homeless shelter some time this month. I work nights so it's not an option for me but I might see if I can get a morning in this month. Services like that are vital at this time of year.
