  • Ds is on contract and we pay £19.99 a month and that gives him plenty of texts and minutes to call, he was warned about surfing the net when using it and to use our wireless network when at home.

this was his first contract and we read him the rules before he was given the phone and thought he was being sensible. For his age he has always been so sensible in the past and this has been his first mistake (and what a one to make!).

anyway see what happens tonight and I thought i was doing so well this month money wise luckily i had some money in a savings account to at least not incur overdraft charges.

    Hello everyone else!

Well I'm finally back from my blood transfusion, they hooked me up at about quarter to ten and it didn't finish till 1.30! It should be quicker next time though. No side effects or reactions, which is great. Now I have to go into town for a few errands.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Of course the big problem is that when they go over it is so expensive.
I cant conceive of using that amount of texts in a month but Im not a teen!

Hi happycrafter, We credit 12 year old boys with too much intelligence! mine went £70 over on his first month and has totaled up £130 over his limit since April when he got the phone. He's been made to pay it, so more fool him. He can use the home phone and net for free but he still keeps on WAPing on his mobile. When this contracts up he's going unlimited at his expense. What a waste of money.

Ames - thank you for replying last night - just caught up. Dad is nearly bald now - what's left is like baby hair. Not the right time of year to lose your hair, is it? I didn't realise that there was a chemo diet either, mum & dad probaly just haven't mentioned what it is he is not allowed to eat.

to be honest i am very worried at the moment about mobiles, mainly because Step Daughters dad is broke and cant aford to get her a present for Christmas (his words) he has gotten her a contract phone so she can still have a good present but it not cost him to much. so just hoping she wont abuse it otherwise we will all be in the brown stuff

i tell you i just want to beat some sense into him because he is so useless with money and just doesnt seem to want to get any better with it (the Mrs was with him for ~10 years and he was never good with money all that time so it is going to take a lot for him to have his LBM)

he is constantly telling us hes got no money, but smokes 20 a day, lives in a rented 3 bed house on his own (well with a cat), has the full sky package pays for a contract phone for himself, and now both my step children as well as numerous other luxuries, which means we have to be somewhat flexible with when he pays the maintenance - although we are just happy he still trys to pay it

wow what a rant i will shut up now :D

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
