Dear All
I want to buy a SIM card so as soon as I arrive at the airportin the US (e.g Las Vegas) so I could used it directly to contact/communicate with people.
Where could I buy this SIM card here in the UK or even buy it online ?
IF we are using UK sim card o2, T-mobile, Vodafone, etc is it possible to use it in Las Vegas, how much does it cost per minute ?
Thank you

You can use your existing phone and SIM in the US - cost depends on you carrier and your calling package, but texts are cheap. I pay 8p per text on Orange. Calls for me are 15p per min, but Internet roaming is more expensive.
You can buy SIMs and even handsets from vending machines inside the airports in the US - costs will depend on what you buy and number of included minutes.Legal team on standby0 -
Go to the website of you current provider and it will tell you the international roaming charges. I think Orange is £1.10/min to make a call, 70p to receive a call and 40p for texts.0

Dear Luci
Thank you for your information. But becuase I will be using my mobile quite often, £1.10/min will be quite significant ?
Is there any way to get it less than 50p per minutes ?Go to the website of you current provider and it will tell you the international roaming charges. I think Orange is £1.10/min to make a call, 70p to receive a call and 40p for texts.0 -
check out a product called tru - we use their business service and I have both a US and a UK number. when i'm in the UK or the US I pay local rates with no roaming charges and I have a number in each country.
They do a pre pay version too. You'd just need to get an unlocked phone to put it in0
