I think any food products, hampers, chocs etc that are received via internet, if there are problems they will replace and you get to 'dispose' of the damaged item. John Lewis let me 'dispose' of a hamper one year as a jar of chutney had decorated the inside of the hamper!! :rotfl:0 -
Hi
I just received my order, box of fudge damaged, rang them up and they sent one out no problems as a replacement, it came the next day, and I got to eat the bashed box, yum! I found their customer service excellent0 -

I really do hope not, I only posted because people had said they had damaged items. My damaged items were the Xmas pudding truffles and they were meant to be for the Xmas dinner table so I wanted them to look presentable. I hope that everyone that reads the post uses the info as it was intended.

You did well, I've been trying since Thursday to phone their customer services and all I get is a recorded announcement saying that they are short staffed due to the weather and unable to answer the phones.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Me too, so I e-mailed them but still haven't had a reply either.
I checked the tracking details for my parcel and it has been in and out of the depot a few times but has still not been delivered to me, but when I tried to contact Hermes about it by their "contact us" system they tell me they can't deal with my parcel enquiry and I should get in touch with Thorntons even though the parcel has been at their depot.
My parcel has now been in transit since 25th November but heaven only knows where it is and what condition it is in by now. I'm getting very annoyed. I know the weather is bad but I live on a main road and other deliveries are getting through.0 -
There is a simple solution to problems with deliveries just go in store and buy them from there.0

I just received a hamper delivery, and had one box of chocolates actuallly open and rolling around the Big Hamper Box (which is a very very nice box by the way) and also 2 items were different to the ones stated on the description and the biggest box of chocolates was damaged... I called Customer services, spoke to a new boy who said he had only been there for 2 days, who told me I had to return the hamper??? Is this normal procedure because all of the posts above seem to say they are really good on customer service?? He said he will send me a new hamper on next day delivery now (which i had to fight for) but I have to return the other one today too???0

what's wrong with that Slybuys?
Because I don't want to return the entire hamper (as I need some of it like tomorrow! splitting for individual presents...) only the damaged items, but they want me to return the entire thing so that they send me an entire thing... the items inside are all items they sell individually, and I asked that just those be exchanged but they weren't having any of it...
Am I being unreasonable??
Plus next day delivery means I will be without a hamper until Friday/Saturday (weather) and have to return to a store near me which is open until 10 tonight...??0
