Its a 5 minute job once the roofer is on the roof. By the time he has unloaded his ladders and set them up, put them away again, its going to be a £50 job.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

cool i thought around that, but no harm in haggling

might get the wod facia replaced with upvc at same time should not cost much more for a terraaced house, while they are here. i am hoping for around a £100 all in. it a normal size victorian terrace.0 -

I think that you may need to put a 0 on the end of that.Forgotten but not gone.0 -
Indeed or hop down to your local roofing yard. Pick up a couple or three (because you'll prolly break one thats whyIts a 5 minute job once the roofer is on the roof. By the time he has unloaded his ladders and set them up, put them away again, its going to be a £50 job.
) of those that match yours from their reclaimed section. Stick your ladder up and DIY. Although you may feel that your time doing that is worth more than 50 quid in which case get a roofer to do it but I suspect it'll be more than £50 in any event. Its a fact that if you can see 20 broken tiles up there than its more likely to be 40 needed so you could get him to do any others whilst he's up there.
Agree with other posters about your fascia board costs.

Theres precious little point in just doing one side you might as well do both. The job will involve taking the old guttering down, the old wooden fascias and soffits taken off, new UPVC fascias and soffits fixed to the rafter feet, ventilation put in if not integral with new soffit and then replace the guttering. Theres a roofer posting on here that suggested an allowance per metre for doing this job not so long ago but its too late for me to go looking for it now. Do a forum search.
