Parcel delivery

Praise for the delivery man(HDN/Parcel Force) that has just delivered a package to me .
There is freezing fog, temp approx -7 and all the village roads are covered in a sheet of ice!! It is 8pm and he said that he still has 17 deliveries to make!!! :A

It is great that my parcel has been delivered however I think that I would rather have waited a day or two then have some poor chap driving around in these atrocious weather conditions.Life is too short!

Our weather/ streets are shocking! Snow over 3 foot high in places. HDN are the only people I've seen delivering this week. I've had 2 parcels from them. RM haven't been here in a week and I've a big Boots order at DHL sorting centre since the 30th thats 'delayed due to adverse weather'.
I do wonder if HDN are staying on the road in fear of loosing the Very account as thats all I've seen them deliver? Loosing an account like that would be a blow for them.

Saying all that I don't think they should be out when the local Police are saying do not travel unless emergency! Shows how little they think of their employees....

I was very surprised to recieve some clothes from New Look on Sunday (plus as Saturday it was still at NL's local hub). Hopefully he got some overtime :)

Started melting here Saturday so was safe for him to come out.

They might be self employed couriers.

I'm self employed and I've been going out doing calls even though the roads are hazardous, simply because I've got deadlines to meet and I don't get paid if I stay home :o
Here I go again on my own....

DHL are not delivering in most of Hampshire at the moment. Their Eastleigh branch have had a parcel of mine for more than a week and all our snow and ice has gone and they are still not doing deliveries!
