Can anyone advise me please?!
I have a 2007 Ford Focus, 33500 miles, which I bought used from my local Ford dealership in February 2010.
THis week the ABS fault light has come on the dash. I have taken the car to my local garage who are very kindly looking into the problem. They've established that it's the pump thats not working. The local garage say that given the milage and age of car this shouldn't happen.
I've tried to contact Ford UK, who have been no help, and said that I would need to book the car into the local Ford dealership to establish if it is a manufacturing faultt. This would be at my own expense.
Having read some internet forums, there seem to be other Focus's of this age witrh the same problem an other forum users have also been advised that this fault is a possible manufacturers fault.
Please help, I don't want to pay out to Ford if they won't pay for the work.
With the current weather I could do with getting my ABS working ASAP!!!!!!

Is it out of warranty?, and how much have you been quoted to replace?, they are quite common to go on fords0

We had a fleet of 56 plate ones wit hthe ABS lights on. It was always a sensor on one of the front wheels.0

very common due to the weather at the moment, the sensors freeze up or the wires do and snap.
I used to run a ford parts company so have a bit of experince withe fords0
