Hi,
My DS has only asked for one thing for Christmas - a tv.
He currently has our old Phillips 36" but it takes up so much room so am looking for an up-to-date flat screen to replace it.
Being a MSE I didn't want to spend too much but after research I now realise I'm going to have to stretch to around £250.
So I think I have narrowed it down to the following two tvs:
LG 32LH301C 32 inch Full HD LCD TV £259.99 at ebuyer - ebay
AOC L32WA91 32 inch LCD HD Ready TV with Freeview £229.98 at ebuyer
Would welcome any advise/personal reviews.
Thanks

DS? !!!!!!?
Remember the 36inch is the old style CRT it will be a lot bigger bulk than a 36inch lcd tv.
In my opinion I would defiantly go for the LG rather than the AOC, never heard of AOC.0 -
32" flatscreen TV £229 = Morrisons0

It may be worth looking at Richer Sounds - they normally have excellent TVs with very keen pricing.
Good luck with your DS (Dear Son!)

Don't get the cheap ones from Morrisons or any supermarket, they're completely unsuitable for gaming.
The LG one will do just fine. I echo the advice to go to Richer Sounds.0 -
Def RS but also search it the product and ask RS if they stock it and may beat the price.
There guarantees are usually 10% of the actual price but not when you price match.
Also have a look at John Lewis if you want a 5 year guarantee.(shame JL don't give cashback anymore)
Then see if RS will match that like for like and in stock.
I prefer the LED models over the older type LCD
Christmas sales may also bring the price down further before the Vat rise0 -
How about this full HD 100hz

Thank you for all your replies.
I received the Argos email today and this one was on a one day special: 32" Bush LED £249.99
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=5296534
As it was a one day special I had to make a snap decision so as it was Argos I decided to buy it because if it's no good I'll just take it back!
Hope you approve0 -
Seems pretty good to me.
I brought a Bush as a quick replacement in the office years ago, would love to replace it but the thing refuses to die.0 -
Too late now, but the AOL was a good option, it also comes with a 2 year warranty.
They are a well established company that have been making monitors for years.
Bush is not a real brand as such, it is just a badge applied to different stuff from different suppliers, so you may be lucky, or......;)0
