Just moved from a place where I had no gas / no mains water and no mains sewer. And it was delightful. £5pa for bore hole water, and only in the last couple of years did I have to pay for the septic tank emptying. Prior to that the farmer pumped it and spread it with his slurry - makes you feel really useful!
But I knew all of that when I bought the place. Are you suggesting the absence of gas is a surprise? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
You do in one sense you have a far more efficent way of heating your home and you do not pay for services and mantainence on gas boilers. I would consider that a benefit over a small discount from your fuel supplier to be honest.0

I'm sure if you paid however many thousands of pounds to have gas piped to your area they would give you the discount
