Maybe have a look at v6, v6.6 to be exact.
Many people (myself included) find Nero v7 too bloated. v6 is great. It does come with a load of extra's which can be annoying (as they're not optional, it installs them by default), but the burning app itself is very good and will have everything you should need.
I still use it as I've not found a preferable alternative. I did try CD Burner XP Pro for a bit (which is free, may be worth a try), but in the end went back to Nero.
v6 is also cheaper. You can pick it up for £5 or so."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Just updated to V7. Can't knock it at all. I think it's better than v6 but it's down to personal preference. This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0

You can download a trial version and buy a code to activate the full version if you like it from the nero website:

I have got it and it does a good job. I could select what I did and didn't want whilst it was installing - there is a rubbish media player included which takes up alot of resources if you decide to install it, so I chose not to!0
