Hi
I bought my first house with my hubby 4 years ago and we have always had our Gas & Electric with nPower paying by DD each month. However over the 4 years we have gone from paying £40 per month for combined Gas & Electric to now £77 per month. Also, every time I get my 6 monthly bills I always seem to be owing them something and the Direct Debits are increased.
I definitely think I can get a better deal elsewhere but don't know where to start in terms of where to look for a better deal, what information I need and how I get this information.
Please help!
Amanda

Hi Amanda
Welcome to the site. I'm sure you'll find lots of ways here to save on your bills (not only gas and electric).
Apart from any good advice you'll get from other members (they are very helpfull here), a good place to start would be a read through Martins article on switching gas and electric. This gives you links to the different comparison sites, and some information about getting cashback from any switch you make.

If you are looking at your bills. You may also be able to save money on your water bill. Martin has some information about this in his water article.
