:( I've been naru'd

 I've got feedback of 1010 - 99.7% positive and theyve naru'd me for a vero offence - I've had auctions withdrawn for this before but this was a completely different item this time and I had no idea there would be a problem

I do have a second account, that I opened in case this should happen. I know I'm not supposed to use it while my other account is suspended. what do i do ? Whats the likelihood of getting caught using second account? I suppose what I'm asking is should I let the auctions on it run or should I close them until my other account is re-instated.

What annoys me is there's people clearly ripping others off and I get Naru'd for this

What would you do ?

Any input greatly appreciated

i had exactly the same problem last year - was selling an xbox360 and got naru'd. fortunately i had another account like you and i sold the stuff i 'needed' to sell on it. Technically you shouldnt use it though (but i would chance it)

Basically i thought sod them and didn't do anything for about 3 weeks, then went through the process of faxing them invoices etc that they asked for.

Yes, its v frustrating that other people appear to get away with murder on ebay using 0 feedback disposable accounts....

If you have any matching details on your second account (address? email? phone?) They WILL spot you, and the penalties for using the second account while suspended will be severe.

I'm not suggesting you make sure the details don't match; I'm suggesting you don't consider it.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • It's a difficult one. On one hand, you have an obligation to the bidders on your auctions, but on the other hand there's the risk of getting caught and incurring a longer suspension. If there are no bidders and few watchers then it's not worth the risk. If you do close your existing auctions, any bidders will appreciate it if you contact them and explain what's happened. If the items are unique, you might even ask them if they'd like to be notified when they are eventually relisted.
  • There was only 24 hours to run on the 4 auctions on my second ID but I ended them early anyway as there was no bids. I decided its not worth the risk for the little bit I would make on what I was selling.

I have thanked you all for your comments.

NARU - No longer a registered user of Ebay

    VERO - see here:

    Hope this helps!

What were you selling, copied software ??

No, it was a blood glucose monitor (Johnson & Johnson) and this was the first time I had listed it.

The other items I was selling when auctions were withdrawn were Boots No7 branded items, which I never re-listed again following withdrawal of the auctions (VeRO again).

I have never sold & nor would I ever sell pirated material.

Meanwhile "Picasso Boy" is still allowed to run his Steve Irwin photo scam (see Item 190045051637).
Talk about a double standard. Hope you're back soon, bedshaped.
