in Credit cards
I have been transferred to OPUS from CITI however in September 2010 i rejected a rate rise from Citi and my account was suspended.
Last Monday 28th November I tried to pay my bill as normal through the telephone and like everyone else was told the numbers no longer existed and I was to call the OPUS customer Service line.
As I had no new card as my account was suspended I managed to speak to an agent who very kindly and patiently went through all their records to find me so i could pay my account.
After 30 mins of searching I could not be found . It was decided that maybe I had not been transferred after all.!!!!! The advice I was given was to wait untill my next statement was due and to wait and see what would happen once that arrived !!!! HELP !!!
No one at CITI bank wants to help found a number on the internet for them and am just a little worried as i have never not paid a credit card when the payment was due before.
Can anyone enlighten me on what to do next !!!!!!!

If you still owe money, then you'll get a statement, so that will have all the details on it you need. When did you get your last Citi statement?0

You can, apparently, still make payments to your old Citicard account details and the payments will be forwarded on to Opus. Not sure how long this will be available for (or even if it still is!). Likewise, I do not know how long the payments will take to reach your Opus account.
Might be worth a go though - especially if the minimum payment is a "small" amount. My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

Thank you HAX and ZX81 for your replies !!!
My Last statement was november 11th with Citicard and I have been told citi wont accept payments as they have no facility to take the payments and opus wont take my payment as far as they are concerned i dont exist !!!! I want to pay my minimum payment but no one wants to take it. Am due for a statement on december 11th so maybe all will become clear then !!!!0 -
at the awards due to be dished out in banking circles next year, there will be no bigger winner than opus in the complete and utter shambles category. administratively they are in a league of their own... lost cards, wrong cards, wrong address, mysterious joint card holders that don't exist. A call centre which is inept at best, no way of really contacting them anyway because you need your card number, which most people have not received. then the audacity to take a direct debit payment for an amount that included the last payment i made to citi. god bless dd guarantee that's what i say. i will have great pleasure cancelling this pitiful excuse for a card, trouble is i cant do it until they send me a card to cancel. sadly i thought citi was alright, so i dont know what i did to be gifted to this shower as a customer.0

Did you ever sort this, I am in a very similar position, I made my last payment to Citi at the start of Dec (I got a statement late Nov from Citi so paid via my internet banking, in the same way I always have) however I am unsure what to do if I dont get a statement - any thoughts!0

You should get a statement just fine. My "normal" statement date was around the 22nd of the month with Citi. I didn't get a Citi one this time but DID get an Opus one.My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

Thanks for the info, my last statement was dated the 15th Nov, so if I am going to get a statement then I am guessing it will be soon!
I just wondered if the op or anybody else who had rejected a rate rise had not recieved a statement even though there payment date had passed?0
