Done exactly that last week, used easy fill, will use it again, easy to apply and easy to sand..

Hi Kev - could you let me know where you got it from, how big a bag and how much it cost please?

Looked on B&Q and Wickes and couldn't find it?

    Cheers

Its 12 quid for 10 kgs white and green bag in the plastering section at B&Q.

However I'd use bonding coat first for the "bulk" of the chase. then finish the top with easi fill.

Having said that above - check this geezer out with the easi fill. Not the way i'd do it but I am a plasterer - looks sound for a DIYER though.

Thanks for the advice and the link. Looks pretty sound to me too. Am going to have wardrobes along one chase and a bed along the other so isn't going to be on an empty wall.

Looked on B&Q - one seriously shi*e website for such a big company!

Last time I added new sockets and moved switches I chased them out by hand and it took hours - I think the walls are reinforced / dense concrete blocks - and it wasn't the neatest but did the job.

This time the spark will be doing it and he has one of those "chasing machines" so will hopefully be a lot neater.

    Thanks again for your advice
