In the meanwhile I have sent in two sick notes and two letters asking why my ESA has not been reinstated, but have had no response as yet.
6 weeks without money!
Tried phoning up but didn't even get through and its so expensive.
I just can't afford to stand waiting in a callbox at 20p per minute.
It's a total shambles.
I'm curious. Did you apply for ESA because your JSA claim was sanctioned for not applying for a job?
And can't you phone the Benefit Delivery Centre for free from the Jobcentre?0 -
Well my email to MP paid off. She wrote to the head of Jobcentre and I received a call tonight to say they had received her letter, looked at my case again and have reversed their decision in my favour. They have put me back on ESA and said that I will actually get at bit more because of my condition.0

Well done! The BBC's Ouch! Forum is a mine of helpful information. Information given there helped me claim DLA Higher Rate Mobility, which has entitled me to working tax credits and a Blue Badge plus concessionary bus pass.
Benefits and work is another mine of helpful info.
Sorry, as a newbie I can't post linksErma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

However, I would (if you have not already) ask for a copy of the medical report, see when they are likely to call you in again, dont be suprised if they call you in for another assessment in 3 to 6 months and you have to start this process again...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Yeah the guy who called me said i would have another medical in 12 months but if i had the same problem to call him and not my MP. He was very pleasant and from what he was saying he did'nt too impressed with ATOS. My MP sent me a copy of the letter she sent so i now have the name and address of Chief Excec of Jobcentre Plus. But from sending my email to her it was sorted within 2 weeks0
