Of course you could always book a flight to the destination country, then travel by taxi/bus to the nearest branch of the bank in question and deposit the funds yourself. I am sure that would cost less than £25.
Halifax offer £9.50 if you do it online, not so long ago they had a "first payment free" promotion too when done online.
I have to say £25 for doing it yourself online is quite steep though.0
