I got the £29.99 Senseo from Argos at the weekend and a pack of the Douwe Egberts pods from Sainsburys. I love it! I've just got a couple of packs of the pods from Lidl - cheaper certainly but I'm not so impressed with the coffee, guess that's all down to personal taste. I'll try online for the next lot. Thanks for the tips.0

I think I tried Lidl pods but was not impressed, I tend to use Senseo regular mugs sized bags and like the Dark Roast if I have the small bags.
Try the Rioba from http://www.coffeepodshop.co.uk/shop/ if they have them on offer some time. Subscribe to the news letter and they let you know the offers, from time to time the Rioba are on offer - 360 Rioba Coffee Pods Dark (10x36 ). I think they work out at about £1.80 for 18 (including delivery) when on offer and once they had Senseo on offer at a really good price. They also do Senseo Extra Dark Roast which are really nice if you like strong coffee.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
ok im a going to sound like a total idiot but i'm looking to buy a coffee machine and they all seem very technical!? what are the pads/discs that everyone is talking about? the tassimo on argos has had great reviews but can anyone explain how they're actually used? i bought the ground coffee from whittards...is that the sort of stuff you can use?
any advice will be appreciated!

A point about the Tassimo - if you register it then you get a £20 voucher to use online, we just ordered loads of different pods to use for ours.
Its actually her present, but we are using it now and I get to share it - lol0 -

For the Tassimo machine, you can only use Tassimo discs. There's a barcode on each disc which the machine reads so it knows how much water to run through.
It's very simple to use - disc in, close lid, push button. That's it.Dave. :wave:0 -
I've got a Tassimo and its great. Yes the pods can be costly but having tried other machine I find the variety of different brands of drinks is best. Plus the Suchards hot chocolate is listed in the Coeliac UK handbook which is great for me. If you buy from their website make sure you want £30 worth of stuff as its then free P&P. They also list pods online which you cannot get from elsewhere.0
