Halifax Reward account - £1000 in lump sum?

Does anyone know if the Halifax Reward current account can be funded with 2 lots of £500, instead of 1 lot of £1000 per calendar month, to get the £5?

Could I transfer £500 in, back out, and then in again a few days later and get the fiver?

will second that. have been doing the same myself, for the past few months since i switched to the reward account. no trouble with it so far, hopefully none to come in future!
  • You can transfer the money in and then immediately out again - it will still count.
I do this on 3 accounts for me and three in my husband's name.
I just bounce the £1000 around the 6 accounts in a couple of minutes and then get the £30 credit the following month.
5 of the accounts only have a balance of £1 for the whole month and then I transfer the £1000 in and out of eachaccount on the same day.
I've been doing this since the Reward Account was first introduced - you are allowed up to 3 accounts in one name.

Not any more. Youre only allowed one in your name and one in joint names now.
Debt free and staying that way!
