Selling house, I only have Virgin TV - do I need to get a freesat dish fitted?

I am selling my house and the only tv signal we get is through Virgin cable which requires a virgin box. When I move, do I need to leave the house with a non-cable option for TV? I could get a free sat dish fitted pretty cheap, maybe buy a freesat box and take it with me?
There's no digital aerial on my property, so where do I stand legally? The sales details say TV point (which is true, but it is a cable tv point which needs a virgin box and contract).
Thanks

It is currently not compulsory to have TV. Whatever makes you think you cannot sell your house without it?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

It's not exactly a fundamental human right is it?0

Just change the details to say it's a virgin TV point, then anybody planning on buying it would simply make a mental note to sort themselves out their preferred system.0

Thanks all.
I just don't think I'd be too happy if I moved in to a house and the only TV option was virgin and I had no box. It can take quite a while to get sky out. I think I might get freesat installed and then take the box with me, at least then they can use a freeview box from Comet (just down the road).0 -

You sound like a nice person. I hope when I finally buy a house the vendor is as considerate as you!0 -
I really wouldn't.
If you get a buyer who umms and arrs about whether they'll need a digital aerial upgrade then consider it... until then keep your hand in your pocket.0 -
We're moving on Friday and Virgin are coming out on Saturday to do an install. It never crossed my mind that I should go in and find everything I wanted already there!
Our buyers have contacted Virgin too - we've had post for them already.
It's not something to consider in what could be a very long and stressful time, especially if its anything like our experience has been.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
