Lost Remote Control

The remote control to my schools' NEC projector has gone missing and I'm looking at buying a Universal Remote for a few pounds. However, I need to find the remote control code so that the two can talk to each other... can't find them anywhere on the interenet. Any ideas anyone?

Is there a learn button on the universal remote? It might be a bit awkward trying to programme things like pc, visual etc into a remote designed more for tvs and probably be easier to just order a replacement remote for it.0

Not all universal remotes need to learn from a real one, many already have libraries built in and you just enter the right setup code to get it to use the right signals. Try your local pound shop, universal remotes are cheap cheap cheap these days and you may find a cheapo one can do the basic functions without needing to be trained with an official remote0
