Returning replacement goods - who pays postage?

A quick question: I ordered something online, with delivery stated to be between 7-14 days. It did not turn up. Contacted the company after 25 days and they confirmed the goods had been sent, and offered me the choice of a refund or sending a replacement - I opted for the goods to be sent again. The company did say that if the original package does turn up, can I return it to them?
Yesterday (day 27) the goods turned up - on inspecting the packing note it appears that this was the original goods sent.
Now as it looks like the replacement I ordered will turn up soon, who is responsible for paying for sending the extra one back? Postage costs will be around £10.
(I know I could keep both but that would be dishonest!).

Do you know who the carrier is? You could refuse to accept delivery or if via RM mark the package 'return to sender'.0

Does the item require you to sign to accept delivery? Presumably you could refuse delivery and ask them to return to the parcel to the sender.0 -
Many thanks all - the parcel received was simply posted through the door and did not require delivery.
The company have given us a freepost address to return the goods to so that appears to have sorted that little issue out - they are more concerned as to why their courier took about a month to deliver a parcel and why a signature was not collected, but thats between them and the courier.0
