Spend a bit on insulation. a well heated home should not cost a fortune.

Bloody toffs. We had coal but could not afford to burn it. Still kept us warm by sitting and lying on it - though lumpy its specific heat made it more comfortable than damp bedding.

All we had was our father repeating the word HEAT and we had to sit round him, all twelve of us, to get warm from his breath.

I grew up in the tropics.
The tarmac would melt in the summer.
Oh yeah, children used to pass out from heat stroke.

Might I suggest that you invest your time (as a first time poster) in learning some use of the English language and that hot air that you exude may actually prove useful and save some energy on the electricity bill for heating the room that you occupy! :)

.... actually my heating is off and in my well insulated living room my overpowered/over the top 'latest' PC throws out enough spare heat to keep the place nice and cosy :)

yes I could spend money heating my home with my gas central heating system but since the PC would be turned on anyway I regard the arrangement as reasonably efficient :)

Move over Dimplex, nVidia is going to corner the electric heater market.

My computer puts out cold air nowadays. I guess when I built it I chose the wrong components. Oh for the good old days when computers overheated so much they'd warm the entire house.
