I'm in please. Not done much flying today, waiting to post my ebay thing when the doughnut brain who won it yesterday pays for it.

Vallikids at home tomorrow - school car park and external areas deemed unsafe.
Valli, however has to try to get to work *tremble*
I am going main road way - uo to Sheffield then turn right. I really hate that route in rush hour and have only done it once but it is the least hilly/most likely to have been gritted option. It's the way I go to meadowhall but I don't got to Meadowhall in the rush hour
safe driving vibes for me and everyone on my route please - roads round here which have not yet been gritted are packed snow to a depth of 3/4 inches which has frozen solid.
Anyway in true MSE style I have
bought stocking filler gifts for the Vallikids from Boots on BOGOF AND used advantage points - £22.00 cost me ZILCH!
(went to town to check roads and make sure car would run)
Made HM marmalade with leftover, frozen, sevilles - and decided boiling the whole fruit then chopping is the way to go!
Boiled the oragnes last night and let them cool overnight before chopping and jamming this morning!
And I sold a couple of unwanted items on e bay - including something DS had actuallt thrown out - went for 50p plus postsge - but still - more cash to me!
Arranged to pick up colleague - will feel far more comfortable if I don't drive solo in this weather - and told her I'll brinhg her home, too and we will leave at 4pm

quick thaw vibes would be appreciated - or even, just, get above and stay above 0 degrees C

Evening all

I've just caught up with the end of the last thread and the beginning of this one and it's back to lurkdom from now on. The next week and a half will be madly busy, until we are off to Germany on the 15th (school trip - two nights on the coach and one night in a hotel). I'll be back around 7am on the 18th and shall join in properly then (after some sleep). I really love doing the trips, but it will be the last one for a while. I just don't have the time to organise them anymore.

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement in the last few days. School is definitely open tomorrow, even though the access road is still in a state. It's been suggested that we park in town and walk to school - wouldn't mind if it weren't for all the bags of books and stuff I've got here. Will have to prioritise and leave some of it here.

What is it with DS2s????? I too am struggling with mine ....all he has is Warhammer so looks very little but its so expensive....

Hitting Valliland tomorrow with DS1 to get gift bags,chocolate selection boxes for 2 littlies...and Marvel duvet cover and a Ukelele...insert confused smilie...for DD1

Need to look in HMV for a GunsnRoses tee for DS2
Will also get vouchers for Brother and sis in law and other brother while Im in there

Waiting for lots of stuff from Amazon to arrive...and have even sorted out the stocking fillers today..just need some for LO and a couple for DS1.

AArrgghh.......and breathe.....

kids are back at school tomorrow so i might get more done i havent wasted my time though most of my shopping is done bought a lot of bits from boots with points so no spent there!!!
London trip was cancelled:mad::( i dont think we will get now this year i cancelled thursday night so no charge never mind no Harrods treats for us this year
have got my cakes sorted fruit soaking in brandy as we speak and phoned my friend who i havent spoken to in a while
one little bit of news ive been invited to Dhs christmas do first time in 8 years and its at one of my favourite resaurants but that means ive got to buy clothes i hate buying clothes:o

Will try again this week - what with Mum's house move and the rubbish weather here we've been kept busy! Just getting into work was a mission - but we managed, but took forever and no Christmas shopping done!

Oh well, another week starts - could you put me down for the ironing challenge and the Christmas one please? Have done a huge pile of ironing today so it's all gone...for now....and the Christmas one will be good as it's DH's birthday Christmas Eve, so that's a good excuse to have everything done and dusted early! Although we always visit MIL on that day too - DH is her youngest, and I think it's nice for her to see him on that day, so we get his birthday and Christmas all on the same day (she's 100 miles away in case it sounds strange!)
