Looking for a HDD DVD Recorder

Im looking for a HDD DVD Recorder
I have one upstairs at the moment, which is a Panasonic DMR-EH60 which Ive had for years. (HDD is full - need to get round to burning stuff to dvd one day!)

I have a sky+ box downstairs (again very full) I want to burn stuff to dvd, I know ill only be able to play/record them onto another HDD DVD recorder real time tho.

What make is best to go with? I wasnt sure if i should go for a cheaper model or go for a better make and dearer price.

Humax is a good brand to look out for, although they are not cheap they are of excellent quality.

Havent seen any humax ones doing a quick search of like argos comet etc seen a few Toshiba, LG, Sony and Panasonic tho

This and the other one are very nice but like most really good deals at argos they are out of stock almost everywhere.

Can't you get one that uses an external usb drive? Many tv's now even have this capability. Reason being that dvds are a mess about after using usb devices and transferring in real-time is going to be a bind.

Looked at the Humax, those dont have a DVD Drive tho, would prefer a DVD recorder than a TV Recorder

And no stock in argos for the 2 Panasonic either! grr

I’ve had this one for nearly a year now was about cheapest I could find back in January I paid £200 it’s been ok no problems. But I only use it to record from skybox via scart and analogue tuner (no freeview where I am).
