ex display furniture

I have purchased an ex display suite from ScS I noticed dirt and mud on parts of the suite and asked for it to be cleaned before it gets delivered, I was told that, that is why it is on ex display and I wasn't entitled to have it cleaned......Is the salesman correct in his statement.

I bought an ex-display sofa, it was discounted to reflect this. The reason was similar to OP, muddy footprints all over white sofa!
Because I bought it as seen (and discounted), I would never have had the cheek to ask for it to be cleaned!
Mind you it rained on the way home (it was on the roofbars) and when i got it home it was lovely & clean!
It's still going strong 10 years later!
Surely if it states the reason for discount you take it as seen?

Clean it yourself, why even ask the shop? if its just a case of wiping some dirt off.
