Just installed Avast could you tell me if you can cofigure it so as it scans automatically or do you have to manually scan. If you can how do I do it please.

Open Avast, click 'Scan Computer', select settings on 'Full system scan', then select scheduling.0

Right Click Orange ball in System tray - "Open Avast User Interface" - then Scan now - then look for "Create Custom Scan" (bottom right). One of the menu items is "Scheduling".0

Thanks Guys I am having trouble with the real time when I have closd the laptop and reopened it Avast was turned off had the same problem when I downloaded MSE0

I don't use Avast now since I installed MSE.
Open MSE > settings > real time protection > tick turn on real time protection > save.0
