    At £375 it's a bargain. It's originally a £700 laptop and at that price it was rated as solid but not delivering outstanding performance.

    You didn't state what you will use it for primarily. As a gaming laptop it'll play The Sims and WoW with no problems.

    I'm not familiar with Acer lapotops, but it sounds really good for the price IMO
  • 4 months old thas a bargain usually at least £600 brand new
  • Cheers, I'll get it, he's upgrading to Alienware instead.

    I've seen it running the new Need for Speed and Call of Duty Black ,seems to do quite well.

    My last laptop was in 96 I think, a Penitum 166 with 4mb lol

    Sounds like a reasonable deal.
    Make sure he doesn't throw away his original receipt - better still, if he gives it to you with the laptop. You will then have more chance of getting a warranty repair if anything bad happens in the next few months.
